There is nothing like the smell of a newly plowed field. It is a North Fork perfume that cannot be bottled. Crops begin to sprout in family gardens and farmers fields alike. At Andrew’s Legacy we promote “life on the front porch.” The porch is a relaxing peaceful place where on warm spring days you can eat breakfast in the morning, have tea in the afternoon and watch the spring blossoms unfurl. Spring can mean new baby chicks in the basement or baby bunnies racing across the lawn.
On April 22, the North Fork Bed and Breakfast Association will be celebrating their second annual Spring Dance at Martha Clara Vineyards. It’s a great way to celebrate the season! Call for more information.
It also means the world famous Strawberry festival, which arrives toward the end of the season and celebrates the local strawberry in a big way. Don’t miss it.
