The Gardens of Andrew's Legacy...
A year before we first opened in 2003, all the gardens around the house were broken up, and plants worth saving were moved to the back of the yard to protect them against the ensuing construction. New plants were purchased and our good gardening friends gave us root divisions and cuttings. Catalogs were studied and gardens planned on cold winter nights. Many of the now mature perennials were started from seed under fluorescent lights and nursed to maturity in hot beds or cold frames.
When the dust settled, the rototiller and wheelbarrow came out and the plans were set in motion. This slideshow is a breif testament to the rich soil and kind climate of the North Fork.
From the slideshow or in person, we hope you enjoy the gardens and the time you spend at Andrew's Legacy.
